Harrison was the son of John Casler born 1786 in Montgomery County, New York and Mary "Polly" House Woodward born in 1792 in the same county. They moved to Springboro in 1834 from Spafford, New York. John died about 1863 and Polly in 1868 in Springboro.
Harrison was a farmer and married Mary S Thompson from Springboro. They had 3 children: Jane Phelps 1846-1898 Springboro, Angeline Nina Knox 1852-1923 Springboro, and Norman C 1858-1926 Springboro.
