Son of Ernest and Ada (Erxleben) Bahde.
Graduated from Wakefield High School, 1941; attended Wayne State Teachers College.
Military: U.S. Marine Corps, 1942-1945; received many honors, including the Silver Star.
Married: March 24, 1946, to Maevis Schroeder in Wakefield
Moved to Hastings; was employed by Standard Oil Co. of Indiana as consumer salesman.
Moved to Kearney, 1952 and took over the Standard Oil bulk plant and several service stations, which all became Bahde Oil Co.; retired from the oil business, 1985.
Was on the Nebraska Petroleum Board of Directors for six years; was recognized for attaining levels of excellence in the business.
Activities: was a member of the church n Kearney, Legion Post 52, VFW Post 759, 40 and 8 and Kearney Eagles Lodge 2722.
Survivors include: wife; sons, Dick of Omaha and Jeff of Littleton, Colo.; daughter, Pam Coffman of Omaha; brother, Pete Bahde of Nashville, Tenn.; sisters, Bonnel Hyde and Barbara McEntee, both of North Platte; and six grandchildren.
Preceded in death by two brothers.
