Living Waters Founder Arthur Bristol Dies
The Rev. Arthur C. Bristol, 67, founder of the Living Waters Revival Center and Living Waters Radio Broadcast, died Dec. 23 at his residence after a long illness. He was the husband of Dorothy M. Haines Bristol.
Born at Pontiac, R.I. on Oct 12, 1912, he was the son of Arthur and Genevieve Robarge Bristol. He attended schools at Attleboro, Mass. and graduated in 1942 from the Zion Bible Institute in Providence, R.I.
Rev. Bristol served as pastor of churches in Louisiana, Texas and in Caribou and Camden, Maine. He chartered the Living Waters Revival Center in Rockland in 1970 and was serving as its pastor at the time of his death. He also founded the Living Waters Radio Broadcast in 1965 over radio station WRKD. He was a member and ordained minister of the Assemblies of God, a Full Gospel Ministerial Fellowship, for the past 25 years. He was a member of the Knox County and Rockland Ministerial Association.
Rev. Bristol is survived by his widow of Rockland; two sisters, Mrs. Jeremiah (Doris) Farley and Mrs. Norman (Theresa) Lyle, both of Attleboro, Mass.; one brother, Charles Bristol of North Attleboro, Mass.; and by several nieces and nephews.
Friends and relatives may call at the Living Waters Revival Center on Camden Street in Rockland Wednesday afternoon and evening. Funeral services will be held Thursday at the Revival Center at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Ronnie Libby of Charleston and the Rev. Bernard Black of Newport co-officiating. Burial will be in Achorn Cemetery in Rockland.
In lieu of flowers, friends are requested, if they wish, to contribute to the Living Waters Revival Center in his memory.
