Vicinity Obituary. Martin V. Cole. Funeral - services for Martin V. (VanBuren) Cole was conducted Friday afternoon from the Petrie's funeral home with Elder Leslie Woodruff of the Seventh Day Adventists church of Dexterville officiating. The bearers were Merton Caster, Galen Caster, Charles Sweet. Leon Snyder and Jacob Hackenberg. Interment was in Lysander cemetery. In doing genealogical research, I found Martin to be a very active man in and around Lysander from 1898 until his death in 1945. He was a constable, dabbled in real estate transactions and was a man of strong family/community ties.
