Daughter of Robert Penrose∼In 1901 and following the death of Franklin's first wife and mother to his children (Maria Ella Penrose), Frank, who was living in Missouri at the time, sent for Alice to help him raise his young children while he worked in the fields as a farmer. Frank married Alice in 1903 and eventually moved to Fairhope, AL where they lived until their deaths. Frank and Alice had no children of their own.
