COLUMBIA — Funeral services for Weeden T. Ford Sr., 85, of Columbia were to be at 2 p.m. today at the Mount Pleasant Baptist Church with the Rev. Lavelle Crane and Dr. W. M. Causey officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery under direction of Riser and Son.
Mr. Ford died Saturday at Columbia Heights Hospital following a long illness.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Carrie Ellen Ford of Columbia; two daughters, Mrs. Beatrice Fisher of Columbia and Mrs. Evelyn Mayfield of Junction City, Ark.; two sons, Louis L. Ford of Columbia and W. T. Ford Jr. of West Monroe; four sisters, Mrs. Albert Boudreaux and Mrs. Mattie Dill both of Thibodaux, Mrs. John Waddell of Alexandria, Mrs. Henry Machen of New Orleans; eight grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
The grandsons were to serve as pallbearers.
