Funeral services were held on June 25, 1968 at the Hanson-Walbridge Funeral Home and burial was at the Park Lawn Cemetery, Bennington, Vermont. His obituary reads: Archie J. camp, Sr. 72, of 238 Beech St. a former machinist at Bijor Lubricating Corporation and for a number of years with Bennington garage, died Sunday at Putnam Memorial Hospital after a long illness. The son of Frank R. and Lottie (Zwngli) Camp, he was born in Bennington, July 5, 1895 and had received his education in the local school. He married the former Ethel Swinton in Whitehall New York, on July 16, 1919 and they came to Bennington to reside in 1924. he had first worked for Bennington Garage and later with Bijor, retiring from there on March 30 of this year. Mr Camp was a former foreman of the Bradford Hook and Ladder company. Survivors include his wife; a son Archie Jr. of Bennington; 1 sister, Mrs. William (Agnes) Campbell of Bennington; a brother Frank R., Camp of Pittsfield, MA; two grandchildren, Mrs. John (Ann) Noyes of Hopkinton, RI and Teddy Camp of Bennington; two great-granddaughters, nieces and nephews.
