Moody T. Ballard, 79, died Monday morning [August 30, 1954] at his home at 225 Syrcle Drive, Navy Point. A native of Fort Deposit, Ala., he had resided in Navy Point for the past eight months.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Fisher Pou Chapel with the Rev. E. S. Owens Jr., of the Warrington Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Bayview Memorial Park Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Minnie Pearl Ballard; four sons, Lloyd of Bay Minette, Ala., Ted, of Stonewall, Miss., Victor, of Houston, Texas, and Hilliard Ballard, of Navy Point; three daughters, Mrs. A. J. Knowles, of Pensacola, Mrs. Howard Davis of Warrington, and Mrs. Jimmie Winfree, of Houston; two sisters, Mrs. Annie Belle Hudson, and Miss Maggie Ballard, of Atlanta, Ga., 19 grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
