Theresa I. (St. Gelais) Sparks, 82, of Westport, died Sunday, March 27, 2011 at Charlton Memorial Hospital. She was the wife John J. Sparks, Sr. Born in New Bedford, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Frederica (Boisvert) St. Gelais.
She was a communicant of St. George Church, Westport. Mrs. Sparks loved spending time with her family and caring for others. In addition to her husband she is survived by two sons: John J. Sparks, Jr. and his wife Sandra of Little Compton and Kenneth W. Sparks and his wife Cheryl of Little Compton; a daughter: Joanne Fernandes and her husband Bruce of Westport; a brother: Norman St. Gelais of Lakeville; seven grandchildren; a great grandson; along with several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late: Romeo, Conrad and Raymond St. Gelais, Imelda Forand, Jeannette Blanchard, Medora St. Gelais, Lucille St. Amand-Charbonneau.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited to attend will be Friday, April 1, 2011 from the POTTER FUNERAL HOME, 81 Reed Road, Westport followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. George Church, Westport.
Interment will be in Beech Grove Cemetery, Westport.
