Ethel was the daughter of John Frazee Test & Martha Ellen Sprinkle. Although she was born in PA, she grew up in OH.


Ethel married Alexander Kennedy on 26 Apr 1913, in Chicago, Cook Co., IL. They had no children.


She was a writer and a teacher. She belonged to several lineage societies.

MRS. ETHEL KENNEDY

Funeral services for Mrs. Ethel Kennedy, who died at her home, 2 Normandy road, Tuesday night, were held yesterday in the First Presbyterian church. The Rev. Dumont Clarke and the Rev. Edward C. Bowers officiated. Interment was in Lewis Memorial park.


The wife of Alexander Kennedy, Mrs. Kennedy was well known and active in a number of circles here during the past 12 years.


Survivors include the husband; a sister, Mrs. Edna Marshall of Cincinnati; a niece, Mrs. Virginia Bise of Cincinnati, and two nephews, Lt. John G. Bennett of the U.S. Army and William Bennett of Dayton, Ohio.


Mrs. Kennedy was state first vice president of the United Daughters of 1812, a member of the Edward Buncombe chapter, D.A.R., and of member of the N. C. state and the national societies, Daughters of the American Colonists and Daughters of Colonial Wars. She was a past president of the Plant, Flower and Fruit Guild and was on its national board of directors.
