Vida was the daughter of Thomas and Estelle (Tyinger) Harvey. She married Virgil Tate Kivette Sr. and they were the parents of three children: Virgil Tate Jr., Doris Ann and William Cody.

Mrs. Vida Harvey Kivette, 73. of 1827 Sharpe Road died Tuesday at her home. Funeral will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Hanes-Lineberry Vanstory Street Funeral Home
with the Rev. Gene Lawhorne officiating. Burial will be in Guilford Memorial Park.
She was a member of First Reformed Church of Lexington.
Surviving are husband, Virgil Kivette; daughter, Mrs. Doris K. Cable of Greensboro; brothers, Fred Harvey of Elon College, Joe Harvey of New York, Hayes Harvey of Lexington; sisters, Mrs. Frankie Miller and Mrs. Effie Walsingham of Lexington.
The family will be at the funeral home 7-9 p.m
