James Duke (Dainon) Buckner, 43, son of Mrs. Emma Bridgewater Buckner of Greensburg and the late Mr. B. D. Buckner, was born April 26, 1928 in Green County and departed this life at 10 A.M. Saturday, January 8, 1972. He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Church of Christ in Lexington, Ky. He was a graduate of Greensburg High School and attended Campbellsville College and the University of Kentucky. He served four years in the U.S. Navy. Besides his mother, he is survived by one daughter: Mrs. Donna Akin, Louisville; one brother: Dr. Robert C. Buckner, Lexington; and one sister: Mrs. Harold Funke, PeeWee Valley, Kentucky; and one grandson, James David Akin, Louisville. Funeral services were conducted at 10 A.M. (CST) Monday, January 10, 1972 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home with burial in the Greensburg Cemetery. Rev. Jimmy Knifley officiated. Pallbearers were J.
