John Amos died last Wednesday morning at his home near Garland following a short illness. He had been a resident of this county for many years and was well known over this section. Mr. Amos is survived by his wife; five sons, Clyde, Claude, Walter, Oscar and Andrew, and two daughters, Mrs. Henry Roye of Rose Hill and Mrs. Alcie Beller of Tamaha, all of whom attended the funeral. Funeral services were held at the residence and interment was made in the Garland Cemetery.
