Acie "A.W." Sharber, 85, of Amarillo died Saturday, Oct. 22, 2011.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Memorial Park Funeral Home Chapel of Memories. Burial will be at Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Memorial Park Funeral Home, 6969 E. Interstate 40.

A.W. was born Aug. 20, 1926, in Whitesboro. He married Alpha Duvak on Nov. 6, 1949. He retired from Asarco after 33 years of employment.

A.W. owned and operated his own landscaping business for many years throughout his life. He loved to fish and be outdoors and was known for being in his "Garage."

Survivors include his wife, Alpha Sharber; two daughters, Jane Hutton and husband Robert and Gail Liles and fiance Ralph Parker; two sons, Danny Sharber and Jimmy Sharber and wife Diane; 12 grandchildren; and 28 great-
grandchildren.

The family will receive visitors from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
