DAVENPORT — Dana R. Arp, 56, of Davenport, died on Friday, October 10, 2008, at Genesis Medical Center, West Campus in Davenport.
Dana R. Arp was born March 15, 1952, to Karl and Nelba (Moeller) Arp in Davenport. He married Brenda J. Rees on July 2, 1977, in Davenport.
Dana graduated from Davenport Central High School in 1970 and attended Muscatine Community College.
Dana was the Vice President and service manager of Tri City Equipment, Davenport.
He was a member and past President of the Walcott Community Club and a former member of the Walcott Jaycees. He played and coached fast pitch softball for many years and coached many little league teams. He was an avid Hawkeye, Packer and White Sox fan. He enjoyed playing cards, fishing and farming with his family. He was extremely proud of being the starting guard on the 1970 Davenport Central High State Champion Basketball team.
Interment Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery, Davenport.
He is survived and lovingly remembered by his wife, Brenda Arp; his sons, Kyle Arp and Leah Hagedorn and Kurt Arp; his mother, Nelba Arp, all of Davenport; his brothers, Duane, and his wife Elaine Arp , Loren, and his wife Sherri Arp, and Kent, and his wife Marilyn, Arp all of Walcott, Iowa: his mother and father-in-law, Leon and Trudy Rees, of Davenpor; his sisters-in-law, Bonnie Ray, Sunny and her husband Gary Logsdon and Lou Ann and her husband James Harmsen, all of Davenport; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father.
