A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at Boone & Cooke Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Dan View Cemetery.
Mr. Allen was born in Buckingham County, Virginia on Sept. 10, 1932, a son of Frank Richard and Emma Raikes Allen, both deceased. He was retired from Virginia Solite.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret Amos Allen of the home; his daughter, Barbara Allen of Roxboro; his sons, Roy Mitchell Allen, Jr. “Mitch” and wife Lori of High Point and Gary Allen and wife Tammy of Eden; his brother, Wiley Allen and wife Linda of Dillwyn, Virginia; and his grandchildren, Casey Allen, Israel Allen, Haley Allen, Brooke Travis; and his great grandchild, Seth Allen.
