Funeral services for Ronald James Brown, 29, who was with the Navy, formerly of Fond du Lac, were held at St. Luke's Catholic Church in Temple City, CA. He died of terminal cancer at Long Beach, CA.

His parents live in North San Gabriel, CA. He attended St. Joseph's School before moving to California with his parents in 1954. He was graduated from St. Luke's parochial school at Temple City, CA and Temple City High School, joining the Naval Reserves in 1963, enlisting in the regular Navy in 1964, and graduating from Radiomen's Class "A" School in San Diego, CA in March 1965. Mr Brown spent two years at the Naval Communication Station of Guam, Mariana Islands, and then was assigned to the Destroyer USS Picking, spending a year in Vietnam.

He attended Mount San Antonia College in Walnut, CA for two years. In June 1973, he rejoined the Navy as a radioman, spending two years on the Destroyer USS Rowan stationed in Yokosuka, Japan, with sea duty in Korea, Vietnam and Guam, returning to the United States in July of 1975. Until his illness on Sept 26, he was attending Radioman's Advanced Radio Repair School in San Diego, CA.
