The son of Arthur Pritchard and Ann Pickett, he was the editor and publisher of the Christian Nation, official publication of the Reformed Presbyterian Church. He had lived in Montclair since 1907 and was an elder in the Reformed Presbyterian Church. He was the author of "Soldiers of the Church: What the Reformed Presbyterians (Covenanters) of North America, Canada, and the British Isles, Did to Win the World War of 1914-1918." He married Harriet Small of Newarthill, Lanarkshire, Scotland.
