Harold A. Biggs, 76, passed away Monday, August 16, 2010, in Tulsa, OK. Born July 31, 1934 in Muskogee, OK to Arlis Aron and Roxie Mae (Vicars) Biggs. Harold was a Muskogee Central High School graduate and later taught there. His wife, Dorothy Jean (Keirsey) Biggs graduated from Pryor High School and the Oklahoma Baptist School of Nursing. She was Director of Nursing Service at her home school. They were married in 1956 at Calvary Baptist Church, where he served as Music and Youth Minister. Later, he helped establish Southeast Baptist Church and was on staff at Immanuel Baptist Church. Harold held Bachelor's and Master's degrees from Northeastern State University, Tahlequah, OK and did religious education graduate studies at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Ft. Worth, TX. He served in Baptist churches in Oklahoma, Texas and Arkansas and was a charter member of the Singing Churchmen of Oklahoma. In addition, he held various positions in the Craig-Mayes, Muskogee and Tulsa Baptist Associations and was the Associate Director of Missions for Rogers County Baptist Association and campus minister at Rogers State University. Harold also owned and operated Biggs Farm and Western Store in Pryor.

Preceded in death by his parents and son, Jeffrey Lynn Biggs. Survived by his wife, Jean of the home; daughter, Shirley Rush and husband, Barry of New York; son, Blake Biggs and wife, Helena, and step-daughter, Malina of Illinois; grandchildren, Rachel and Paxton Biggs; step-mother, Katherine Biggs of Muskogee; brothers, Russel Clancy and wife, Judith of Wichita, KS and Erin Clancy and wife, Elizabeth of Norman, OK.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, August 18, 2010 at Moore's Southlawn, Tulsa, OK. Services will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday, August 19, 2010 at Harvard Avenue Baptist Church (where he and his wife were currently on staff), Tulsa, OK, with interment at 3:30 p.m. at Pryor City Cemetery, Pryor, OK.
