CHATFIELD—Dr. Rollin B., Granby, Oct 23, aged 41.

Rollin Blackman Chatfield, M.D., died at his home in Granby, Monday afternoon, after an illness of four weeks with Bright's disease. He had been in ill health since last summer, but had been confined to the house for only a month.

Dr. Chatfield was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry W. Chatfield, and was born in Bethany 41 years ago February last. He was a graduate of the Seymour High School in the class of '88, and of the Yale Medical School in the class of '93. Immediately after his graduation Dr. Chatfield located in Granby, and practiced his profession there continuously until the time of his illness. He was highly esteemed by all who knew him, both in Granby and in Seymour and Woodbridge. He was a member of the Masonic fraternity in Granby, and was a past master of the lodge in that place. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife, formerly Miss Mabel Holbrook, of Great Hill, and a daughter Marion, aged 11 years. He also leaves his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry W. Chatfield, of Woodbridge, and one brother, H. Oliver Chatfield, of this place.

The funeral will be held at his late home in Granby, Thursday, at 2 p.m. and the burial will be in that place, in charge of the Masonic lodge. Local friends who attend will leave Ansonia on the express at 9:47, connecting with a train for Tariffville at Hartford, and being met at Tariffville by carriages.
