S/O Mathis Deiber.
H/O Mina [Leche] West-Deiber.
Charles Dieber was the plantation storekeeper at the Belle Grove Plantation (aka McBride's Plantation) in Terrebonne Parish, LA. This is where he met his wife, Mina (Leche) West, whose first husband, William M. West [listed on 1910 census as plantation overseer] had died in 1912. In articles written about the plantation and the McBride family, an interview with the daughter of James Monroe McBride, plantation owner, states: "Each plantation had a commissary, a store that stocked dry goods and other commodities, groceries. She remembers that Mr. Charles Dieber was the plantation storekeeper and also her father's bookkeeper. When her father died, Mr. Dieber was one of the pall bearers..."
Charles Deiber shares a stone with the following individuals:
Rosalie Janneck and Julius Janneck
Looking at various records (marriage, birth, death and census records), it's seems very possible that Rosalie (Deiber) Janneck was the sister of Charles Deiber.
