Husband of Adele (Burch) Davis. U. S. Army veteran. Member of the 99th Division, 393rd Infantry Regiment, Company K. Saw action as a sergeant during the Rhineland Campaign and the Ardennes at the Battle of the Bulge. He was wounded by artillery shrapnel on February 2, 1945 and taken off the front lines.
Awarded the Purple Heart, African-European-Middle Eastern Theater Campaign Ribbon, American Service Defense Medal, Good Conduct Medal and Combat Infantry Badge.

Born in Rushville, Illinois to Edgar and Ura (Skiles) Davis. He came to Connecticut during World War II and was stationed at Fort Devens, MA. where he met his wife. They raised their three girls in Connecticut and later in life he and Adele relocated to Augusta, Illinois.

Clyde left Augusta in 2005 and relocated to Perry, Florida, After two years he returned to Connecticut and lived the remainder of his life there.

He was predeceased by his wife Adele and daughter Sharon.
He is survived by his daughters, Mrs. Judith Molis of Voluntown, Connecticut and Dorothy Davis of Perry, Florida in addition to five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
