He/She would be one of the children of Samuel Denny/Sarah Suddarth (Southard) of Surry County, NC. The known siblings of this person that had families and of which I have prepared GEDCOMS at various Web Sites are Azariah Denny/Sally Wise Felton, William Denny/Rebecca Hooper, John Denny/Elizabeth UNK, Charles Denny/Anna Larwood, James Denny/Esther Small, Elizabeth Denny/Priddy Meeks, Keziah Denney/John Robinson.

Pam Groover f Virginia Beach, VA descends from James, she has provided me (1997) with various reports to assist me in working ths line.

Buried Coopersville, Wayne County, KY (Denny Cemetery).

NOTE ON BURIAL-MESSAGE RECEIVED May 13, 2002
Dear Sir
My name is Tony Garst of Indiana . My mother-in-law is a direct
descendant of James Denney of Wayne, Co. Ky. For James burial many list
Coopersville, but that is a misconception, it is Gregory. The cemetery is 1/8
mile behind the Clay Hill Baptist church on 776 . The cemetery records in the
Monticello library split the county into districts , for some reason th
cemetery was put in the Coopersville district but its on the other side of
the mountain. It's a 15 mile drive from Coopersville to the Denney cemetery.
What is a coincidence is that I also know the Denneys from In. In fact the
other James Denney is buried within 20 feet of my property. I couldn't find
his stone, the cemetery is in bad shape, but I found his sons, and some
Southard's buried next to him, so we know now the Southard's go with the
Indiana Denney's.

Wife Esther buried Coopersville, Wayne County, KY (Denny Cemetery). Esther was a charter member of Old Bethal Church in 1810 in Wayne County, KY.

Settled in Patrick County,VA near the Bull Mountains.

If anyone reads Guy C.
