Services for John Calvin Whitmore will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday in the Colonial Mortuary Chapel with the Rev. Willie Terry officiating. Interment will follow in the Davis Memorial Gardens in Lufkin. Mr. Whitmore was born March 31, 1957 in Montgomery, West Virginia and died Dec. 2, 2008 in Lufkin. Survivors: wife, Christine Whitmore; daughter, Tiffany Whitmore; sons, Calvin Whitmore II, Kevin Whitmore; mother, Wanda Whitmore; brothers and sisters, Robert Whitmore (Atlanta,GA), Reginald Whitmore (Katy, TX), Louis Whitmore (Maryland), Sheena Whitmore (Atlanta,GA), Anthony Whitmore (Lexington, KY), Justine Whitmore (Houston, TX), Eric Whitmore (Houston, TX), Kellie Whitmore, Andria Jones, Jacqueline Whitmore (Radcliff, KY), Bruce Whitmore (Louisville, KY); six grandchildren a number of nieces and nephews.
