Lillie was the second of thirteen children born to John Dallas and Orfa Mahala (Sipes) Moose. She married Wesley Samuel Poole and they were the parents of eight children: Nettie Jane, Mattie Eugenia, Wesley Cleveland, Lillie Mae, Grady, Fred and Margaret Elizabeth 'Maggie' and King.

Mrs. W. S. Poole, of Iredell county, died Friday night at the State hospital in Morganton, where she had been under treatment for some time. Interment was in Morganton Saturday afternoon.
Mrs. Poole's home was in the vicinity of Olin.
