Norfolk - Annie M. Tompsett, 88, of Ethan Allen Lane passed away on Wednesday, February 25, 2015. She was born in South Norfolk on July 27, 1926. She graduated from Kempsville HS and had worked as an office manager for surgeons at Depaul Medical Bldg., retiring after 20 years. She was preceded in death by her father, Murray F. Midgett, her mother, Maude L. Moore Midgett, and her brother, Leo F. Midgett: step-children Vonda Lee Perkins and Jack Dean Tompsett; niece, Linda Rae Wolf. Those left behind to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 46 years, Bernard Jack (Tom) Tompsett; her daughters Karen (Susie) Cutchins and Stephanie Taylor; her grandson John Wiley, III; her step-children in Idaho, Danny Tompsett and Debra Taylor; niece Katherine Starr in Louisiana. She was a loving wife, devoted to her family and her church. Her church was 1st Baptist Church of Norfolk at Kempsville Rd. She attended until Alzheimer's Disease prevented her doing so. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at the Chapel of Keith Matthews Funeral Home 5665 E. Virginia Beach Blvd. Norfolk, Va.
