Resident of Concord

Juanita Enea, loving mother and grandmother, was welcomed into heaven on October 28 after her twenty-year battle with breast cancer. Juanita was born in Chihua-hua, Mexico, and moved to Antioch in 1954. Two years later, she moved to Concord, where she met and married her husband, Peter Enea, Sr. She and Peter recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. In addition to being a devoted wife and mother, Juanita worked as a wedding photographer and made wedding cakes for nearly twenty years. Those who knew her remember her generosity of spirit and her kind and gentle demeanor. She was an inspiration to those in need and will be deeply missed. An active member of the Catholic community, she served in both English and Spanish ministries. Juanita was a parishioner of St. Bonaventure Catholic Community. Juanita is survived by her husband, Peter; four children, Theresa, Pete Jr., Marie and Mark; four grandchildren, Desirae, Courtney, Michael and Daniel; one sister, Roind Wood and four nephews, Leonard, Randy, Jess Jr., and Joe. She also leaves behind many dear friends with whom she shared her love of life. Friends may visit from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 2, 2006 at Ouimet Bros. Concord Funeral Chapel, 4125 Clayton Road, Concord. A Rosary service will follow at 6:00 p.m. at St. Bonaventure Church, 5562 Clayton Road, Concord. Funeral Liturgy will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, November 3, 2006 at St. Bonaventure Church. Juanita will be laid to rest at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Lafayette. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to make donations in her name may do so to The Salesian Youth at Risk Project in Bangalore, India, C/O St. Bonaventure Catholic Community, 5562 Clayton Road, Concord, CA 94521.
