Bessie M. Dallman, 98
Bessie May (Barnes) Dallman passed away Dec. 30, 2000 at the Good Samaritan Center in Estherville. Funeral services were held Thursday, Jan. 4, at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Terril with Pastor Ralph Shorey officiating. Burial was at Fairview Cemetery in Terril.
Bessie was born May 30, 1902 to Lewis and Grace (Mackrel) Barnes in Pocahontas. She received her education in rural country schools.
Mrs. Barnes was united in marriage to John Albert Dallman in Nov. of 1919. The couple moved to Terril in 1937. Albert died in 1992.
Bessie had been a resident of the Good Samaritan Home in Estherville since 1997 until her death
She was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Terril and was a Sunday School teacher and church custodian.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert; sons, John Jr. and Dick; 1 great granddaughter, son-in-law, Laurence Mortenson, parents, seven brothers and two sisters.
Surviving are daughter, Donna Jean Mortenson of Terril; daughter-in-laws, Doris Dallman of New Hampton and Beverly Dallman of Spencer; 13 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Home, Inc. of Estherville was in charge of all arrangements.
