Raymond Knox Allison, 47 years, farmer and stock raiser, died suddenly Monday morning in the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. George W. Allison of Mt. Morris Star Route. Death was due to coronary occlusion and he had been ill only a few hours. Mr. Allison was a son of George W. and Laura Knox Allison, and was born December 22, 1908, at the family farm.
He graduated from Waynesburg High School, and attended Waynesburg College. Later he graduated from Fairmont Business College, Fairmont, W. Va. From 1938 to 1947, Mr. Allison was a member of the Pennsylvania State Police. He was associated with his father and brother, Arthur, in the operation of the two Allison farms and their large herd of Hereford cattle. Mr. Allison had served as clerk of the weekly cattle auction in West Waynesburg for a time, and had also assisted Charles B. Orndorff in livestock auctions in Greene and surrounding counties. Since 1928, Mr. Allison had been a psrt time employe at the Weaver Funeral Home in Waynesburg, and was one of several youths who assisted in the Mather Mine disaster in 1928. He attended Morrisville Methodist Church, and was a member of Waynesburg B. P. O. E. Elks. He never married. Surviving are his parents; one brother, Arthur Allison of Waynesburg R. D. 2; two sisters, Mrs. William C. Milliron of Cleveland, Ohio, and Mrs. William Bryan of Waynesburg; and a nephew, Inghram Milliron of Cleveland.
