Albert Franklin Lawrence was the third child born to John Martin Lawrence & Catherine Dora Clem.
Albert married Samantha Caroline "Carrie" Jeffery in Stone County, Arkansas, on 4/17/1919. Both were living at Mt. Olive, Izard County, Arkansas at the time of the marriage. They had one child, Albert Franklin "Boy" Lawrence, Jr, who would marry Mary Jo Langston.
Albert worked as a farmer, mechanic, freight hauler and railroad track worker during his life. He was very close to all of his siblings, but especially to his oldest brother, "Buck" Lawrence.
Albert was a fiddle player and folks still talk about the music that could be heard coming from his home on a Friday or Saturday night when kin and friends would gather in his front room or porch to play and sing. He was known to play a great deal in the Izard County area with friends Abe Byler and John Parker, too (see photograph accompanying this memorial).
