LoVetra I. Farris, 98, of Fort Smith died Sunday, Jan. 13, 2002, in Fort Smith. She was a retired teacher for the Fort Smith Public Schools, a member of Zeta Tau Alpha and Alpha Delta Kappa, a member of the First United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday School for 40 years and was also a member of the United Methodist Women for 40 years. Funeral will be 10 a.m. Wednesday in Methodist Village Chapel with burial at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in Oakland Cemetery in Russellville under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home of Fort Smith. She is survived by a daughter, Eileen Joyce of Little Rock; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
