Funeral services for William Robert Adams were held Saturday, July 25, from the Mercer Ave. Baptist Church in College Park where he was a member. The Rev. Milliard Cheek and the Rev. Homer Folsom officiated. Mr. Adams died July 23rd at his home, 1005 Madison Ave., College Park. He was 69 years old. A native of Carroll County, Mr. Adams had been a resident of this area for 39 years. He was a retired brick mason and was elevator operator at the Healey Building for 18 years. Survivors include his wife; two sons, James W. Adams, Doraville, Charles Herman Adams, Hapeville; three brothers, Ambrose Adams, Carrollton, GA; John H. Adams, College Park; and Charlie Adams, Atlanta; three sisters, Mrs. Dora Goolsby, Piedmont, AL; Mrs. Sallie Spears and Mrs. Jessie Whitehead, both of Atlanta; and two grandchildren. Burial was in Hillcrest Cemetery under the direction of Paul T. Donehoo Funeral Home.
