Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Crisp who died at the Joe Reed home in Yuma on Monday morning were held from the Nazarene church Wednesday afternoon, Rev. P.C.Norton officiating and interment was in Yuma Cemetery. Her age was 63 years, 5 months, and 22 days.
Mrs. Mary Tennessee Crisp, daughter of John Wesley and Mary Floyd, was born on September 19, 1871 in Hartsville, Missouri and departed this life March 11, 1935. She married in Hartsville, Missouri September 4, 1886 to Jahue Crisp, who preceded her in death five years ago. To this union four sons were born- Rufus of Herrington, KS, Delous of Eckley, Elmer of Waterloo, Iowa and Edgar of Cambridge, Nebraska. In 1907 the family moved to Council Grove, Kansas and in 1918 to north of Eckley. About 12 years ago she joined the Nazarene church to which faith she remained to the day of her death. She was a kind and loving mother and a good neighbor and friend to all.
