Carbon County Journal no. 51 July 28, 1911, page 1 OLD TIMER DIES. W. A. Heath Dies in His Home at Lamar Colo. A message was received by John C. friend Wednesday conveying the sad intelligence that W. A. Heath formerly of this city has died at his home in Lamar, Colo. Mr. Heath was a member of the K. of P. and also a member of the local post G. A. R. having taken an active part in both lodges. He lived in this city for a number of years, being engaged in the painting business. A few years ago he moved with his family to Lander and from there went to Lamar, Colo. He has been ill for a long time yet his numerous friends in this city will grieve to hear of his death.
William enlisted in Company G, 1st U.S. Sharpshooter Regiment on August 15th, 1862 from Oak Grove Wisconsin. He was discharged for disability March 10th, 1863.
