Death of Philip Miller. Philip Miller, one of this town's oldest and best known citizens, died Sunday evening at his home on Mahoning street, aged 71 years, 3 months and 10 days. Deceased was a native of Germany and came to Lehighton in 1854. He was always active in the Presbyterian Church and Sunday School. Until a few months ago when he was stricken with illness he was foreman of the car painters at Packerton. His funeral was held yesterday morning with services in Bethany U. E. Church, Revs. Smith, Kuder and Kuntz officiating. Interment was made in the Lehighton cemetery.
