Bobbie passed away on Friday, July 27, 2007, in Lubbock. She was born May 17, 1922, in Lockney, to Arch and Ruby Muncy. She graduated from Floydada High School, attended Wayland Baptist University and graduated Summa-Cum-Laude from Texas Tech University in 1951. Ms. Atwood served in the United States Navy in the 2nd Battalion Waves Division during World War II. She moved to Lubbock in 1950 and worked as an accountant and office manager for many years before retiring. She was a member of the Bacon Heights Baptist Church.
Her survivors include three daughters, Barbara Russell and husband Don, Melanie Yaeger Harmonson, and Paula Clary and husband John, all of Lubbock; a sister, Trois Payne and husband Steve of Lubbock; and five grandchildren, Christopher Yaeger, Jr. of St. Charles, Mo., Robert Yaeger of Lubbock, James Yaeger of Lubbock, Paul Yoes of Frazier Park, Calif. and James McDonald of Houston.
