Darrell retired as a Petty Officer 2nd class from the United States Navy, and he also retired from the United States Postal Service.
He is survived by his wife, Tammy Kay Stoermer Miller of Benton, KY; three daughters, Leangela Hernandez of Cheyenne, WY, Melissa Miller of Louisville, KY and Kaylee Miller-Henry of Missoula, MT; two sons, Christopher Oshner of Paducah, KY and Scott Miller of Calvert City, KY; two grandchildren, Zachariah Mandeel and Mishail Mandeel both of Louisville, KY; two sisters, Sherrill Zaric of Monmouth, IL and Jennifer Miller of Cheyenne, WY; and two brothers, Ronnie Miller of Monmouth, IL and Matthew Miller of Idaho Falls, ID.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Linda Miller. His parents were Lynn Lee Miller and Elizabeth Ann Ricketts Miller.
Services: Memorial graveside inurnment will be in the Kentucky Veterans' Cemetery West in Hopkinsville, Kentucky at 11:00AM Tuesday, July 30, 2013. Military rites will be conducted by the William A. Doyle Post #236 of the American Legion.
Visitation: The family will receive friends after 2:00PM on Sunday, July 28, 2013 at Filbeck-Cann & King Funeral Home.
