Clarissa Stephens was born in 1799 at Nine Mile Creek, Onondaga County in the state of New York, the daughter of George and Sera Wood Stephens.
She married Lawrence Lamberson and they relocated from Camillus, Onondaga, New York to Monrovia, Kansas in 1858 where Mr. Lamberson took up farming.
They were the parents of nine children: Nicholas Lamberson, Sarah S Lamberson, George Lamberson, Alfred Lamberson, John Lamberson, Charles Giles Lamberson, Moses Harrington Lamberson, Stephens Lamberson, and Clarissa Lamberson.
