Grover was the son of John Ervin WARD and Sarah Ann Elizabeth MURPHY.

The family moved to Leon Co., TX ~1886. Grover married Anna HUMBERSON (1890-1958) on January 5, 1908.

Grover and Anna were in Madison Co. in 1930 with daughter Christine. Grover's death certificate shows he died in Madisonville, TX tho his Usual Residence was Moore Co., NC.
