Thelma Viola Errett, 21, wife of Calvin Errett died in the Home and Hospital at 5:30 last evening of burns received March 4 when her clothing caught fire in the kitchen of the Errett Home, 211 Larkins Street.
Mrs. Errett had been confined to the hospital since the accident. During the last few days little hope was held for her recovery although it had formerly been believed that burns, which were serious would not prove fatal.
She was cleaning clothes near a stove when the fluid she was using caught fire and ignied her clothing. She ran screaming from the house. A neighbor, Mrs. Lewis Ward, noticed her plight and rolled her in a rug. Her clothing was burned to her body. Second degree burns caused her death.
Mrs. Errett was married on Dec. 24, 1935 to Calvin Errett, who survives. There were no children.
She was born March 6, 1917 in Findlay, the daughter of Dan and Carrie (Patterson) Firestone. Both of her parents are living. Carl C. Firestone, Toledo, and Scott Firestone, Findlay are brothers.
Funeral Services will be held at 10 o'clock Friday morning in the Central Church of Christ with the pastor Rev. Henry H. Carter officiating. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery.
the body was taken yesterday to the Coldren Funeral Home and will be removed to the residence of her parents this afternoon.
