Mrs. Evelyn M. Hensley enjoyed her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, canning, and gardening. She was a longtime member of the East Hwy 178 Church of Christ. Mrs. Hensley worked for over 30 years at the former Baxter Manor Nursing Home, now known as Hiram Shadox. She took great pride in her responsibility to the patients and to the training of the oncoming nursing assistants.
Mrs. Evelyn M. Hensley is survived by 1 son, Jesse Kilgore (Pam) of Missoula, Montana, 4 daughters; Thelma Rorie of Norfork, Janice Bradley (Albert) of Mountain Home, Lois Williams (Richard) of Mountain Home, Doris Kemp (Rick) of Mountain Home, 12 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, 1 sister, Adella Dotson of Kansas City, Missouri, 2 brothers, Walter H. Pittaway (Lavaun) of Mountain Home, and Clinton Pittaway (Peggy) of Harrison. Also surviving are 1 Brother-in-Law, Gene Hensley (Fran) of Dora, Missouri and 2 Sisters-in-Law, Juanita Rick (Charles) of Mountain Home, Dee Pittaway of Cotter. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 5 brothers, and 1 sister.
Visitation for Mrs. Hensley will be 2 – 9 PM Sunday at Roller Funeral Home with the family receiving friends 6-8 PM. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Monday in the Roller Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Drew Ratcliff officiating. Burial will be in Reeds Grove Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Ozarks Hospice House.
