Dewitt C. Rugg served as the Captain of Co. E, 11th Indiana Infantry (3 Month Regiment) Lieutenant Colonel of the 48th Indiana Infantry and Colonel of the 107th Indiana Infantry during the Civil War.

Residence Indianapolis IN;
Enlisted on 7/12/1863 as a Colonel.

On 7/13/1863 he was commissioned into Field & Staff IN 107th Infantry
He was Mustered Out on 7/18/1863 at Indianapolis, IN
