Buddy Lowell Barnes, 77, Fairview, Mo., died at 11:10 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 14, 2008, at his home, following a lengthy illness. He was born May 17, 1931, in Weatherford, Texas, to Benjamin E. and Geraldine (King) Barnes.Mr. Barnes moved to Missouri in 1968 from Texas. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, and a cattle farmer. Buddy married Patsy Jean Adams, July 2, 1952 in Dimmitt, Texas. She preceded him in death in March, 1995. He later married Patricia Henderson-Posinski, Dec. 27, 1997, in Tontitown, Ark. She survives. Additional survivors include four daughters and sons-in-law, Teresa and Larry Abramovitz, Fairview, Mo., Vickie and Rick Larkin, Neosho, Mo., Denise and George Salzman, San Antonio, Texas, Patrese Barnes, Neosho, Mo.; two stepsons and daughter-in-law, Rob and Melissa Posinski, Springdale, Ark., Tom Posinski, Fayetteville, Ark.; a foster brother, Austin Perkins, Phoenix, Ariz.; a sister, Maryonna McFerrin, Weatherford, Texas; six grandchildren, one step-grandchild, and seven great-grandchildren.He was preceded in death by a sister, Nova Smith, in 1997. Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 17, at Dice Cemetery, Fairview, Mo. Honorary pallbearers will be Benjamin Abramovitz, Brandon Abramovitz, Cody Epperson, Ryan Larkin, Christopher Barnes and David Posinski.Friends may call at the funeral home Thursday from 9 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., with the family receiving friends from 6 to 7:30 p.m. The casket will be closed at all times.Memorial contributions may be made to St. John's Hospice, c/o Clark Funeral Home, PO Box 26, Granby, MO 64844.
