Born to James R. and Julia Ann (Ussery) Anderson on 25 sep 1890 in Vienna, Illinois.

Luther as he preferred to be called was a farmer and carpenter until his retirement and was a member of the Metropolis Local 803 of the Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America.

Mr. Anderson a member of First United Methodist Church of Vienna.

He married Bertha Mae Axley on Oct 1, 1911 in Belknap, Illinois. They went on to have 3 children; Vernon L, Darrel Martin, and Ruby Bonita.

They were married just over 60 years at the time of his death.
