James H. Alford, 71, of Route 7, Box 20, Jackson, a retired security guard for the city of Jackson, died of heart failure Monday [May 8], at Hinds General Hospital.
Services are 2:30 p.m. today at Lakewood Funeral Home with burial in Lakewood Memorial Park.
Mr. Alford, a Jackson native, was a member of Forest Hill Masonic Lodge No. 613, the American Legion and the Disabled American
Survivors include: wife, Grace; sons, James Ray Alford and Aubrey Lee Alford, both of Jackson; daughters, Linda Faye Alford and Sherry Anne Mahaffey, both of Raymond, and Nancy Grace Gordon and Patricia Jean Keith, both of Jackson; brothers N.A. Alford, Hubert M. Alford and Carl Eugene Alford, all of Jackson; and sister, Evelyn A. Deomor of Pearl; and 12 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
