Mr. Birdsall died in Reno, NV as the result of an auto accident. He was born to Gilbert Birdsall and Hannah Louise Philley Birdsall in Honey Grove, TX.
He married Harriet Grace Meredith on Sept. 8, 1917 in Farmington, Utah.
He was an engineer on the Western Pacific Railroad.
Survived by his father and mother of Gainesville, Texas; 3 sons: Homer G. Birdsall, Jr. of Salt Lake City, Philley M. Birdsall of Salt Lake City, and Ross J. Birdsall of Bountiful, UT; 2 daughters: Ida Cromer of Vallejo, California, and Lucy McLaughlin of Tombstone, AZ; 9 grandchildren, 2 brothers: Robert L. Birdsall of Needles, CA, and Louie N. Birdsall of Grand Junction, CO; and one sister, Marieta Johnson of Texas.
Funeral services Friday, Nov. 26, 1954 at the Deseret Mortuary, Rose Room, 12:15 pm. Viewing Thursday 6-8 pm at the mortuary. Interment: Salt Lake City Cemetery.
