The Rev. Thomas M. Dunn, 81, of Winn Terrace, Northboro, retired pastor of St. Rose of Lima Church died in Shrewsbury Nursing Home. The principal celebrant as his funeral was Rev. Timothy J Harrington, Bishop of Worcester.

At the time of his death he left a sister, Katherine Foley of Worcester; a nephew, J.W. Foley of Worcester; a niece, Angel LaVine of New York City and Weekapaug, RI; and two grand-nephews. Born in Hyde Park, he was the son of Frank J. and Catherine (Callahan) Dunn.

Fr. Dunn graduated from Classical High in Springfield, from Holy Cross College in 1930, and from St. Bernard's Seminary in Rochester, NY. He was ordained in Springfield on May 26, 1934 by Bishop Thomas O'Leary. His assignments included: St. Thomas in Springfield, St. Charles in Pittsfield, Our Lady of the Angels and St. Stephen's in Worcester, and Our Lady of the Rosary in Clinton. He served as pastor of St. Anne's in Ashburnham, St. Richards in Sterling, and St. Rose of Lima before retiring in 1981 after 13 years as pastor at St. Rose.
