Ruth E. Dietrich, 86, of Rice Lake died May 12 at Lakeview Medical Center in Rice Lake.

Mrs. Dietrich was born Jan. 5, 1923 to Everett and Miriam (Storey) Stanley in Topeka, Kan. She married Dean Dietrich on June 22, 1938 in Nebraska. They lived in Nebraska until moving to Riverton, Wyo. They farmed until 1953 and then owned and operated a Tasty Freeze until 1966. They then moved to Seattle where she worked for Boeing Manufacturing Co. until retiring in 1985. She moved to Rice Lake in 2007.

She is survived by two daughters, Brenda Israelson of Arlington, Wash., and Rhonda Dietrich of Rice Lake; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a brother, Everett of Benicia, Calif.

Mrs. Dietrich's husband, Dean, died in 1993. Her daughters Diane Rook and Connie Dietrich and son Gary also preceded her in death.
