Maggie was the daughter of Joseph John and Elizabeth (Storey) Hurley. She married Lacy Claude Allred in 1914 and they had five children: Marcus Wayne, Geneva, Joseph Clyde, Thado Michael, and Rebecca Ellen.

MEBANE - Mrs. Maggie Hurley Allred, 82, of 411 S. Third St. died Sunday. Funeral will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at the First Baptist Church where she was a member with the Rev. Charles Limley, pastor, and the Rev. Jack Ray officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.
She was a native of Randolph County and a retired textile employee.
