Roxy (Roxie) B. Lane, 80, formerly of Crawford Apartments, Huntingdon, died at 8:10 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 25, 1982 in the Valley View Haven Nursing Home in Belleville where she had been a resident since Nov. 17. She had been failing health for the past several years.
Born in Springfield Township, Huntingdon County, on Aug. 16, 1902, she was a daughter of Harry and Amanda (Madden) Roher.
Two sons survive Norman Lane of Petersburg and Raymond Lane of State College; a granddaughter; four step-grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. Kenneth (Cula) King of Breezewood, and Mrs. Scott (Colista) Gerringer of Three Springs R.D. 2.
She was preceded in death by a sister.
She was a member of the Roadside Chapel, Huntingdon, PA.
Most of her life was spent in Springfield Township.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 28, from the Roadside Chapel, Fairground Road, Huntingdon, the Rev. Amos Hommel officiating. Interment will be made in the Old School Baptist Cemetery, Three Springs R.D. 2.
Friends will be received at the John B. Brown Funeral Home in Huntingdon after 7 p.m. Monday and from 9 to 11 a.m. Tuesday, and at the funeral chapel from noon until the hour of the service on Tuesday.
